For those looking for real world numbers, here's my last week (what's coming on this Friday's check). Now that I've learned where to run and how to book freight better, my income has gone way up:
West Memphis, AR to Marietta, OK - $860.62
Marietta, OK to Kingsville, TX - $1035.06
Kingsville, TX to Romeoville, IL - $1794.09
Romeoville, IL to Maumelle, AR - $963.28
Maumelle, AR to Marietta, OK - $867.40
Gross: $5520.45
Fixed Expenses: $1100 (Estimated)
Fuel Expenses: $2100 (Estimated)
Net Income: $2320.45
There are deadhead miles involved in there, I didn't pick up in the same cities I delivered in. I just don't remember everything exactly. I'm not sure of my exact fuel costs, fixed expenses, and mileage because all of that paperwork is in the truck and I'm too lazy to go out and get it LOL.
And this particular load plan didn't really force me to run all that hard... my breaks were all at least 12 hours each night, and I even had a period this week where I relaxed for almost 21 hours before moving again.
I also spent more in fuel than I really had to, I've had a lead foot and heavy loads this week. But it doesn't bother me too much, looking at the numbers.
There's a big learning process involved with load planning, but once you get it down, the income potential is very much there, assuming you don't spend all of your time hanging around the house.

As a sni o/o if you were to experience a major breakdown, does Schneider have some kind of po system or a loan program to help you pay if you come up short? I know other companies do but just wants to check and see if sni does?

I'm not sure of the details on this one, but I know the term is mentioned in my lease several times, but those sections are crossed out since mine was new.
Either way, they'll usually work with you on stuff like that, mainly because they know if they don't, you'll go out of business and they'll be stuck with a truck that doesn't run and will cost a lot to fix.

Hmm question, they take out main.funds out your check right? So in day 1 are you at $0 or they require you to put some money down for main.account
