That's just bloody disgusting. Boy I hope they find the piece of human waste responsible.

And they can pass legislation inhibiting our hours in a flash - yet Jason's Law is . . . floundering to say the least?

Utmost sympathy to all who knew this poor man.

    This is a tragedy.

Does anyone know if Thyssen Krupp Materials allowed truck parking on their property?

Not sure but don't think so there. I know the one in Indiana don't. Indiana passed a law that's says you cant park at a shipper/Consignee location unless they have a staging area for trucks.

    From the customer...

That ticks me off more than anything. He wasn't on our property, blah, blah, blah.... Well maybe you should let them stay on your property where it is safe instead of claiming no involvement which you were as a direct result of your stupid rules.

If it has a Detroit address, no way would I sleep anywhere but behind a fence. He was isolated too. I think it was poor judgement on a good parking spot and unfortunately paid the ultimate price for it. Yes, Jason Law comes to mind.

I use to deliver 10 miles north of Detroit at a cold warehouse and spent many nights there. But there was always a dozen trucks parked together and a guard patrolling on a golf cart.

I feel for the family and hope they catch the sorry piece of dung.

This is pretty harsh, any newbies and wannabes might want to listen to this. The danger is very real. And like a soldier killed, there's always an unborn child. Who knows the real story, I know it's terrible to think this, but we just don't know what went on. Owed people money? Drugs? Even the wife may not have known. We just don't know all the facts. Could be mistaken identity, a few years ago, in Wis. a driver pulled off on a ramp to sleep, and some guy who had it in for a different driver from the same company that was messing with his wife, saw this guy on the ramp, and killed him in mistaken identity.
I hate to disagree with Condo, but I'm sure it's an insurance issue for these companies. If something happens on their property, they could be liable.
