The next stereotype will be that the low testosterone, bare handed, auto drivers only ride trikes.

I had an automatic for 2 yrs. I enjoyed it for the mountains and heavy Los Angeles traffic. Mine was Fully auto. No clutch pedal to use when you came to a stop or starting off. It did take some getting use to for winter driving. I only run the western 11 states. Pushing the buttons to shift gears. Also, if your an owner operator, when they do need to be worked on, their spendy. Not as cheap as changing a clutch out. On a scale on 1-10, I'd give it a 7.5. I'm back to a stick now and love having control of the ride. :mcool:

I drove a Volvo with the Ishift auto for a while, really have no complaints. Definitely nice in stop and go traffic. Other than that, I'd just rather have a 13 speed.

I actually have to say, I drove two, one with and one without clutch pedal. I liked the one with clutch pedal better because the other one took off too fast when backing, I could feather the clutch in the other one to start off slow backing.

I've driven two different Mack road tractors equipped with M-drive trans, and my boss has a 2014 Mack CXU on order for me with an M-drive, in addition we have two M-drive equipped day cabs. No complaints at all with it, enjoy driving them very much. This will come after 14 yrs exp. and 1.6 mil. miles driving Autoshifts and 250,000 miles driving manuals.

Striker, I appreciate your feedback. That's a lot of miles. I think I will enjoy driving an auto also. Manual is fine but it seems that there will be a little more comfort for me with the auto. I have worked some hard jobs over the years and I am thinking about me for a change.
