Sorry for the miss hap, but sometimes it's best to get the credit card out and deal with these things yourself. That way it's just you and the shop, no misunderstanding. Mercer office is not 24/7 except for emergency.

 

Mercer is going to have helpful people that are on call and ready to do their job". Or not! No middle ground in Business.. Person needs to be reported. Perfect oppurtunity for training

That's a concept I don't understand. If you buy 10 tires thru Mercers account, your your 1099 at the end of the year is going to show $xxx,xxx.xx exactly the same as if you bought no tires. $xxx,xxx.xx. It's your money, not the company's.

Being on the side of the road, broke down is no fun. Been there Done that. Hope the rest of the month goes well for you.

 

Are you saying that if you use Mercers account for tires, they deduct from your settlement, you can't write it off at tax time?

 

Mercer's michellins account gives us a discount which you can't have paying with your money/his money your CC, comchek, tchek, efs, AX, master card, cash nor any other currency dear sir.


^^^^^^ THIS IS ALL THAT WAS MEANT. MONEY SAVINGS ON TIRE REBATES.

 

They deduct it from your settlement, but they do not deduct it from your 1099. Your gross income is the same, if you bought tires or if you did not buy tires on Mercers account. So yes you write it off at the end of the year.

I think we are saying the same thing, just not explaining it very well to each other.

All I was saying about using the credit card, was sometimes it's just easier on the weekend. Use all of Mercers discounts when we can

 

The national account is a very large discount on most tires. Almost everytime for me it's about 20% off.
And as Lucar said: Can only get this discount if Mercer pays for it, then deducts it.

I would suggest calling Contractors Relationtions Monday and reporting the weekend help. They should've been alot more professional, even after hours.
