Nope, the have a intermodal terminal in Chicago. Once you get the swing of the rail yards there not bad at all. Down here in Charlotte the two rail yards are pretty tame compared to Chicago.

Yup right off of i 55. Before I left Chicago, a swift container got his trailer hung up on a fence in Chicago pilot. Basically anybody going to fuel up can't get out unless they back up to the alley.

I'm considering doing this as an O/O for Schneider in Chicago, thanks for the info....
runningman0661 Thanks this. -
Well the home time has been great the last month. I spent a total of four nights in the truck over the last month. No complaints here! Every year on or near our anniversary we have to do recertification of sorts. Someone from our safety dept in Fairburn, Ga. comes down to do a short ride along, and then review company policies etc.. I knocked that out last Friday, along with a random drug screen. It's hard to believe I have almost been here a year already. In the next few weeks I will post my first year numbers. Be safe!

HI Runningman
Im thinking about signing on with Schneider here in St.Louis. According to them there is supposedly a 5000 dollar sign on bonus if I stick with them for a year. Can I really expect them to pay this amount at the end of the year??
thanks -
I would suggest the regional gig, you wouldn't have to fight the Atlanta traffic all day everyday. With regional you run within a 300 mile radius of Atlanta, out and back. Good luck on what ever decision you make.

Everything that was promised to me when I started has been given to me, and the some. I was told when I started I had the ability to make 60K. In my first year I should make closer to 63K. I will be posting my first year numbers next week. So if there offering you a sign on bonus, they will give it to you.

sign on bonuses get paid out incrementally. But they do pay when they say they will.
