But hey, screw these drivers who work 14 hr days and months away from loves one, but don't forget to raise min. Wage to 15/hr for these McDonald's workers.

I been with a company who would roll my overtime hours into next week so I won't get paid time and a half. Don't know why truck drivers don't get overtime.

 

Until drivers organize nothing will change. If anything it will get worse. Maybe if the drivers would get a food handlers card.....

 

Trucking was grandfathered when the minimum wage laws were introduced because at the time truckers could drive 24/7/365 if they wanted to and it was thought that a minimum wage cap would reduce their earning opportunity. Of course sixty years later without a rate increase and burdensome HoS rules has certainly changed that assumption.

 

instead of complaining about others fighting for a raise and benefits, fight for your benefits.

you should have called your states hour and wage division to see if what they were doing was legal, instead just moaning about it.

 

Truckers do get overtime when your a local driver I get it. Only the company's that are consider a job doesn't pay ot but when u work for a company that is a career u get the overtime get buddy

 

Like I said if your not getting paid what your worth look for a company that will pay u what your worth like I did all it takes is for drivers to look talk and ask and u will find that great company no company is perfect but there are some out there that care about there people

 

Those workers are out there fighting for their rights and dignity. Are truckers out there fighting for their rights and dignity? I haven't seen it.

 

U are so right that's the problem today if we had more people like u to inform people to stand up we can put a stop to these big company's paying drivers pocket change

 

This is old and already been settled. Has nothing to do with Schneider trucking, just the warehouse side.
