That's wonderful you honor the driver's notice and somehow I knew that was one of your fine qualities but unfortunately employers like you are few and far between.

 

Don't play along, refuse to load. PERIOD!!!!

 

Not only that but if your company uses DAC services they would put a service failure on your dac.

 

Load, head that way and think about it on the trip.

If delivering in OR and returning will run you over the 2 week notice, and disrupt your new employment plans, then leave it in the yard, secured, clean - and SIGNED FOR. Keep a copy for your records. Take pictures.

With all we're expected to maintain and comply with, I find it reasonable to expect employers to honor timely requests.

If there's one thing we should have all learned by now.

You go home.

Then you give the two weeks notice.

Hold their truck until they have a load routed to your terminals town only with prearranged transport back or say come pick it up.


These stories seem endless.

 

This is what I was going to suggest.....Make sure you photo (video even better) walking around the truck in their yard (including the intact seal on the door!) and inside after you clean it out so they can't say it was damaged or left a mess, then even video you turning over the keys so they can't say you just abandoned it....

Where's the nearest terminal to your home in Utah?
Take the load there, backed up with messages on Qualcom as to what you're doing or just refuse the load and fly home.
