On Gard systems failures

The antenna alignment is critical... if its not pointed correctly it will detect false targets. You might want to invest in a dashcam if you're having problems with your safety department.

i had one on an older volvo i drove. worked great, i mean every single time i drove under an overpass it went off.

 

Still trying to figure out why this is in the Intermodal forum.

 

Ongaurd sucks, mine hits the brakes when i go under over passes, it bugs out very often and disables my cruise control until i stop the truck and restart it in an area with nothing infront of the truck for about a quarter mile. Not to mention it will slow me down when a car in the next lane over slows down, it dies in heavy snow, it reacts slower than a 91 year old at the wheel of a Cadillac and every once in a while it decides ive had an accident and disables my throttle for about 10 seconds.

 

I can see it now...

 

About 100% effective as a tool in helping me decide to leave my carrier.

Ill pass on that junk.
