New bridge construction, road deck fell onto I-35. Looks like a CR England hit the debris and I'm hearing reports of one possible fatality.
Edit: one confirmed fatality

seems an oversize load hit the bridge, and a pick up truck driver who was underneath it was killed.Balakov100, AfterShock, Dna Mach and 1 other person Thank this. -
Oh man!!!
a prayer to him and his family. -
"According to DPS trooper Harper Meyers, a semi truck hit a
bridge support, bringing down the overpass that was under
construction."
Hmmmmmmm ------
Kinda sounds like the CRE Big truck set the chain of events
in motion to begin with resulting in how the event ended.
Tragically.
Sadly.

Second story said it was an Oversized truck. They weren't sure if the truck was too high, or if the load was too high. This may have been the result of somebody screwing up the permits and sending the truck on a route he couldn't fit on. That would be an official boo boo on DPS's side of the equation (I think it's DPS that issues the permits, anyway.)AfterShock Thanks this.

Washington is taking no blame whatsoever for what hapened on the 5 with that OS load 2 years agom
-
I'm just not seeing any signs of an OS load from the pics, so far.
There's an empty deck flatbed going opposite direction of the CRE, but no signs of strapping/securement hanging off his rub-rails.
Unless the OS load is outside of the pic's view?UKJ Thanks this. -
Txdot issues the oversize permits
-
I have seen another pic of a excavator in front of the CRE truck....
