Its still. A matter of who dropped the ball in the order of creating this .motor.
But KR is the brain child, who employed PP to build the motor.
Why isn't someone getting their hard facts and proof of error. Pictures and metalurgy reports are a start.
But no one will admit they screwed up.

If they cared about what happened they would have had Terry, the guy who tore down the motor, on the show the night they discussed the failure. Instead they chose to play CYA with a supposed engineer who tried to claim anything over 180* ruined the liners. The amount of BS shoveled out that night should give one and all a clear view of the integrity of those two.
Here's the thing about con men, they don't care about the skeptical, the unbeliever. They know that's a lost cause, so they just concentrate on those who want to believe, and smoothly shift the little doubt the fanboys possess onto another party. They don't know enough, and aren't willing to seek outside sources to educate themselves, to know for themselves what the truth is. After all, their heroes are always telling them to beware the doubters! So no amount of rational discussion can enlighten the true believer, and no real truth is required of the shaman. He knows he can't win on the merits of the discussion, but the believers are so star-struck they never bother to notice such insignificant things as facts, especially facts coming from a doubter.RedForeman, Davidlee, truckon and 6 others Thank this. -

On the one hand Kevin promotes Evans coolant for higher operating temperature. Then he blames temperatures of over 180 degrees? Am i close? Lol
mtoo, Hammer166 and double yellow Thank this. -
About that supposed DD Engineer. I cannot imagine that Detroit Diesel allowed one of their employees...least of all an Engineer...to go on that show. I din't hear the show buy I call BS on that from the get go.
Hammer166 Thanks this. -
On today's Audioroad KR said "its important to make sure your shop has liability insurance so you're covered if they screw up. Any good shop should have it, but make sure you check."

man it took way to long to finish this thread and I think my previous statements about MB washing off seem to be validated stop, thinking that PP did not put the MB bearings in I'm sure they did but my experience with the smurffy blue wheel bearings is the stuff does not last
-
Well the cam bearings were MB'ed and after 100k, no sign of wearing off.
dannythetrucker and Hammer166 Thank this. -

Fitzgerald plays a lot of game with their warranty. Their so called "customized" engine is not covered by Detroits warranty! Fitz is responsible. Pray you dont break down on the weekend or after hours. Get an actual remanned engine from detroit. Detroit actually tests and dynos every engine....Fitzgerald does not.
pearcetrucking Thanks this.
