For a 5 axle, you'll need $50 dollars cash for the New Jersey Turnpike and $95 dollars to cross the George Washington Bridge then a few extra dollars to get up to Hartford. You don't pay on the GWB going westbound from NYC into Jersey. By the time you get to Ohio you'll need about $300 dollars. I wouldn't run up there without an EZPass period. The PA and Ohio turnpikes have online toll calculators. You can also run I-80 across Pa and avoid I-76.

Dont forget the tolls on 95 in Maryland for the tunnel and the bridge in Perryville. In Jersey you can run 295 to x56 and cut over to the turnpike to save a couple bucks. It's about the same distance.Dna Mach Thanks this.

Totally forgot about those! Geez, that's like a weeks pay for drivers without an EZ Pass.
FatDaddy Thanks this. -
No reason to pay but one or 2small tolls on this trio....ck ur routin...

If you coming from Miami, might be best to run 95-26-77-81-84...only toll you'll have to pay is the Newburgh Beacon....
Newark to Cincy would be 80-76-71... runs you right into Cincy
Only toll I believe is the Delaware Bridge -
Traveling with hazmat???

Even though it's more miles, running around 287 and paying the toll at the Tapenzee (spelling?) bridge may be an option too. Unless of course that bridge has gotten as outrageous as the GW, it's been over 5 years since I've had to pay cash for any of them.

Could take 95 to 66 to 81 then what he said

95-26-77-81 is an extra 300 miles. That's a lot of unpaid work to save the boss's tolls he's already probably charging the customers for. That's why I would never run New England or Chicago without an EZPass.
