Video Marten driver road rage

    Marten driver runs me into the shoulder then brake checks me. All for moving over to give space to a truck entering the interstate.


    April 03, 2015 02:30, the time on the video says 01:32 but I haven't changed it for daylight savings time yet. This is in Kyle Texas on I-35 southbound by exit 213, Marten trailer number is 21720 I couldn't see the tractor number.


    Traffic was light being that it was in the middle of the night and I did not cut him off however he may have had to either slow down or move over before I got back to the right lane. There is 3 lanes going our direction. I wonder how this guy handles driving during the day when we get cut off by 4 wheelers several times.


    After he brake checks me I'm trying to check my load in the mirrors and I can't see much since its so dark (I pull a flatbed). I had a fuel stop 20 miles later and checked the load, and the whole load shifted forward 3 inches. Other than that it looked fine and when I make my delivery in the morning there was no damaged product. You gotta be a real piece of work to brake check a another truck especially a flatbed.

    These trucking companies don't care who they put behind the wheel anymore. Turning him into Martens safety department wouldn't do much good. Call the cops next time- have them write a ticket for aggressive driving, road rage, Illegal lane use... what ever they could come up with. These types of drivers who use a loaded truck to retaliate against anyone needs to be removed from the roads forever.

    This guy was definitely in the wrong for brake checking you but if you're the typical prime driver going 52 mph and then cut off a truck going 65 that might happen to you more often.

    I get pissed if a slow truck cuts me off too but as long as they mash the throttle to expedite the process and move back right when it is safe to do so, I won't say much. However, if you stay 52 mph in the middle lane and don't move over ASAP then I'll say something on the cb but I won't brake check you like that. Then again not everyone is like me, so you should take that advice given above if you don't already do that and this won't happen to you very often or ever again.

    The most surprising part of this video is that Marten used his turn signal.

    I hope this is already sitting in Marten's safety dept's inbox.

    I was going 62mph my maximum speed, and as far as I could tell he was only going 65mph by the rate that he passed me. He didn't slow down as I saw him get over to the left lane then back to the middle after I moved back to the right lane. It was obvious why I was getting over and most trucks would do the same, especially in light traffic. I sent emails to different links on their website and left a message with safety. Not sure if it will do any good. Glad I have the dash cam, if I were to have hit him at least I would have proof of how it all went down.

    Hopefully safety sees it and does something.We can't have idiots like this and not get repremanded for it.Your load shifted 3 feet can you imagine if you was hauling rebar and the load shifted even more.

    I agree call the police and send it to their safety dept. I called the police on fedex driver before and they pulled his ### over too and sure he got nice ticket. I wasn't the only one that called about him either.
