Reading this thread only make me realize why this industry has so many problems...everyone trying to assert what they think is the "right way" instead of just working together...pitiful. Not every situation will go down like you want it to...trying to punish someone cause they don't do it your way is stupid and dangerous. The ignorance on display on this site and on the road is sad.
Chill out.

jlind, Criminey Jade and bzinger Thank this.

how many drivers have you seen pass you by because they are in such a hurry just to cut right in front of you to take an exit, or get into a rest area? really.......
If I am suppose to act professional, and drive professionally what part of you being professional and driving professional are you suppose to do?
what is morally right is allot different then being legally right.....and if there is an issue or a problem I would much rather be legally right then morally right.... -
Lowa...did you take the short bus to seat warming school? If room, you move over, it's called simple courtesy...if you can't move over, you decide if your speed will allow you to clear his vehicle before the end of the ramp or if you need to ease up and show courtesy and allow him to enter ahead of you.
In this case, the traffic was light enough that, even if that faster Marten needed to move far left to clear Prime in the middle so he could give the ramp driver room...then he should. I drive a 68 mph truck and do things like that all the time...even if it was 2 lanes on that stretch of interstate, I would ease up and give a driver room to move over to clear a ramp....Simple courtesy.
For those folks that say the OP is wasting his time complaining. If he didn't have video, I could see your point...they probably get tons of calls for stuff like this given their size, and have a hard time figuring out which is just a 4-wheeler pizzed off and which are legit. But since he has video evidence to provide poof, they should take notice. Maybe post this video in the Martin 'carrier' section on the home page. Chances are, he's probably done this before...maybe someone over there isn't a driver, but an office chimp who's trying to answer perspective drivers question. Remember the old saying, "squeeky wheel gets the grease"Ditch Doctor, Criminey Jade and Prime flatbed supertruckr Thank this. -
nobody said your supposed to move. If you don't need the next exit, and the lane next to you is clear, the courteous thing to do is move over. All you manage to do is force merging traffic to slam on their brakes, and then merge behind you at an even slower speed and create havoc for those behind you. Ever hear of the concept of sharing the road with other vehicles?
(patiently waiting for the next "what if" scenario or more made up statistics)Lonesome, Prime flatbed supertruckr, Lowa3468 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I am not going to condone what martin did,it was wrong. Yet I just don't understand how a truck entering can immeaditly pass you. Also what inspired martin to do this? How did you get the title supertrucker do you have an advanced degree or accredited awards?

Seems pretty simple to me, the rules were written into law for a reason, doesn't take someone on a short bus to figure it out but it does take a rocket scientist.
to state that because one cannot follow the RULES and OBEY the SIGNS, that you expect everyone to show you courtesy...well in a court of law legal right will win over courtesy any day of the weak. -
Lowa3468 and Prime flatbed supertruckr Thank this.

EDIT to add: Hard decision if it's a dog.Ditch Doctor Thanks this. -
