take a breath, what do you mean by 37 points??
Wish I'd of stopped by the terminal, but I'm spending most the day here in Indy.

37 points??? How in the blaze of glory do you get that many points? If I added all the points I ever received from the day I walked on Deland's property to the day I walked off...in almost 10 years I don't think I had that many...what, did you run over Tonn's toe when he was walking across the lot one day? We use to be limited to 15. At 10 you were given a chance to go to a safety meeting and a 'bad boy' class w/Bones to knock off 2.
And 'just like the last time'...how many times have you had to work elsewhere for a year before coming back with 0 points?Brandson Thanks this. -
They told me I might have to do that once. It was a prick fill in dispatcher on Christmas eve. No way in hell am I unloading for an OTR carrier, lol. Ended up, the customer directions were, surprise surprise, written by a ######, and they had lumpers. Also, I went to pick up the load and there were no loaded trailers at the shut down facility, so they found me a better load home.Wild Murphy Thanks this.

No such luck for me. Ibuprofen has cut the pain in half. And i have come to the realization that i will never do a Dollar General dedicated account.

A few times. Windows and doors, pallet jack for the hook and chain thing. Never been a big deal. You can fill out the unloading form but not sure the pay is worth the bother.Wild Murphy Thanks this.

The dollar General a count recruits crack me up. They were littered all over the USX terminals. They were so cute, thought they were going to earn big money, more than the OTR morons, just for a "little unloading"... I tried asking them why it was so easy to get on if it was so great. They never have an answer, haha.tucker, TruckDuo and Wild Murphy Thank this.

Early on in my career I had to do a K-Mart load and a Target load for a different company. Same deal as a dollar store, at least back then. Throw the boxes on a roller belt. After doing those, I wouldn't do a dollar store account even if it payed $100,000 per year.
Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
For any of you guys on AT&T they have a pretty sweet deal right now. Basically, since I was already on the family share plan, I got a new Samsung S6 for free. I get a $25/month discount and the phone costs me about $26/month on their "Next" purchase plan. Sounds like an ad but I was pretty surprised when I went in the store. Just letting my ol Creten buddies know.
Things are still going good out here in the oil patch. I heard on the news that people in the Permian Basin region are 3 times more likely to be killed in a crash than anywhere else in Texas. You guys be careful out there!xlsdraw, Wild Murphy and tucker Thank this. -
$85.00 for 2 hrs. I'll take it. Lumper would have probably charged $200.00 and got it.Onadetour Thanks this.
-
That's $42.50/hr. Always helps to put things in perspective.Wild Murphy Thanks this.
