I'm looking for an alternative to McCandles (International Dealer) to get my 2011 International ProStar worked on. I have not had a bad experience at McCandles, but the wait times with the first come first serve policy can be up to a week. I would like a decent shop that I can schedule a time to bring my truck in so I'm not sitting at the house for a week when I could be rolling, waiting for a one day job to get done. For instance, if I want to get an overhead done and some other work, I want to be able to tell the shop I will be there on a certain date and get my truck back in a few days, not over a week. If the truck can still roll and make me money, I hate having it sit waiting to get work done, want to make better use of my time. Maybe that's not possible, but I have been able to get in to shops when I'm on the road and need work done in a lot less than a week. I live in Denver and just need some recommendations. Even if the shop doesn't take appointments, that's fine, but 5-7 day wait just to get into a bay is a bit much. Also, my truck has the Cummins ISX. Thanks!
Need a good shop in Denver

What skate-board said. And I was just in Rush (Peterbilt) Denver, did a radiator, thermostat, water pump, coolant temp sensor, a/c compressor, air dryer, and replaced EGR valve. They impressed me. Got me in and out within a half a day. I just went and told them my time schedule and they knocked it out. Only thing I didn't like was the fact that the man knocked it out good n quick, in about 6-7 hours, but I paid for the "book" hours on every job. But LS has a discount with Rush and that took the edge off. Plus they did what I needed in the time frame I needed. GET THERE EARLY!
skyviper73 and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Excellent replies. Just the info I was looking for! Thanks!

My local (4 wheeler) mechanic is paid by the same system - his boss looks up the 'book' on the job and he is paid accordingly, whether it takes him an hour more or less. He gets killed on the interior jobs (big guy), but whips it on the brake/suspension/heavy work. I'd never heard of the system till I asked.bigNATURE Thanks this.

Don't let TCI Michelin dealer do a 3axle alignment on your truck. I took it back said it's still pulling to the right , guy kept telling me it's dead on , computer doesn't lie he kept saying, my response was B.S. won't be taking nothing back there. they won't warranty there work only 3days had passed.
