I have gotten stopped by DOT in NY a couple months back, I am currently looking for a new trucking job. Do those tickets I got from Dot go on my record? It was for a headlight light and a loose muffler? It was also not my truck. Yet the Dot guy had wrote the tickets out to my name, but my company had payed for them.
Thank, Mike

doesn't matter who's truck it is. You are the cdl holder you are responsible for any issues that would be considered unsafe. you made the decision to drive it.
If you received tickets in your name than yes of coarse they would be on your record -

icsheeple Thanks this. -
Yes it's in your record. Also like Harley guy said it doesn't matter if you don't own the truck, your responsible and technically your ticket, I hope you check up on that ticket and make sure it was pay. Lot of shady companies say they would pay but then throw the driver under the tires. I sure hope you know how to do a basic pretrip

My company knew the truck was broken, but had choose not too fix it

You have the right to refuse to drive a defected truck. Don't make them push u to do illegal things. Keep it up and dot will pull your license, and guess what, your company don't give a crap and fire you.
Welcome to truckingG.Anthony, nshore harleyguy and icsheeple Thank this. -
Of course they do, why would you assume they wouldn't??? You're legally responsible for the truck you're driving. How do you NOT know this?
Mudguppy, nshore harleyguy, icsheeple and 1 other person Thank this. -
The violations will show up on your PSP Detailed Report under that report number issued by the reporting state under Inspection Activity.

I wouldn't worry about those on your record, there really nothing. You should be good to go.
