Rocktenn, Hodge, LA to KC, MO by way of Joplin, MO to pick up my new truck. But no new truck because they couldn’t find the keys to the new truck assigned to me. Then to KC, MO to Dixon, MO to Edwardsville, IL to Tremont, PA to Carlisle, PA to Lowell, MA where I sat all day today at the Pilot in Sturbridge, MA waiting to pick up a load at 0400 ED in the morning in Worcester, MA going to Pittsburgh, PA and delivering at 0730 ED on 6/8. Meanwhile, the nearest truck stop to my 6/8 delivery in Pittsburg, PA is 89 miles away in Brookville, PA.
In any event, I don’t have any idea when if ever I will make it back to Joplin to pick up my new truck. Anyway, you got a new one yet Salad?paul_4lp Thanks this. -

Repowering a team's load (they hit Bambi #3) from Omaha NE to Laredo TX.
I won't make it all the way, going to drop it when I get as far as I can for someone else to finishpaul_4lp Thanks this. -
Didn’t really care. I’m sort of ambivalent about it. Don’t really know what model truck has been assigned to me, but all I saw available while over there were KWs. Meanwhile, I had earlier talked to a guy that had previously drove a Prostar before being moved into a KW 680, and he told me the living space inside is about a third smaller relative to the Prostar. Not to mention that I’m not too excited about driving an automatic/manual transmission. Now I am, however, excited about the twin screws though.

The new t660's are not all automatics, a lot are 13 speed. You would have gotten a 660 most likely, the 680s are team trucks (unless you're a team). The 680s are also way more spacious than the prostars.
The 660's have some nice points though, despite being a little more crowded. For one they pull better (unless you have a Prostar with a cummins). And they ride way smoother, and the seats are much more comfortable. On top of that the side box is better, as is the bunk ACpaul_4lp Thanks this. -
Oh…that’s probably what I saw. The T660s. I’m not familiar with KWs since I’ve never had one, but if they are really that much smaller, I’m not sure I will be happy in one. We’ll see.

This purchase of 575 new Kenworth T680s and 60 new Freightliner Cascadias, which are being delivered into the fleet in a phased deployment starting this month through November, represents an increase from 23 percent to 48 percent in the number of trucks outfitted with AMTs.

the new truck will definitely be a white one...don't believe kW makes a 660 anymore we're buying six eighties...I am hearing good things about the automatics, keep an open mind
paul_4lp Thanks this.
