    Hello all
    I am about to purchase a truck. It's a 2000 Kw T2000 with 1.4m miles for $12,000. 13speed. It has a Cat engine that was rebuilt at 750k
    Lots of work done. Should I be worried about some rusty areas in the pics? Also with everything is it a good deal? The seller says needs nothing for now.     No I don't see anything wrong. It looks like they really steam cleaned the thing, one reason for instant rust.

    but I would get ready to replace the Coolant tank, they should be $40 to $60 - they rot from the inside out.

    Your at 800,000 miles already since overhaul. That ticking you here is the intake valve actuators that sit on top of heads. They are due to ge changed. There cost will vary depending on where you buy them, $740-790.00 plus labor. You'll know if you buy when they go. Loss of all power..I don't recommend even at $12k

    Price is right. I have one with an N14 in it. Does it have the AG200 or AG400 suspension ?

    I had to change out the AG200 suspension for the AG 400 - $3500+. Get him to send a pic showing in between the drives.

    Older truck - no payment, but set aside 30cpm for maintenance.

    Unfortunately he will have issues. After working on cat engines for 20 yrs that particular yr motor came with ceramic valve actuator rods that will crack. Catapillar came out with an upgrade 3 yrs ago. It will cost $5k with labor. Hope your ready. I would get my deposit back.

    I got a message that the top end was rebuilt and all the injectors replaced in 2014. Would that help?
