Ok, so I'm currently a regional dry van hauler with 3 months experience. I'm not really a fan of this work so I'm thinking about changing to something different at my 6 month exp mark. I'm probably going to go flatbed (otr or regional) because I want something that's a bit more physically active than sitting on my ### for 13 hours and opening doors/sliding tandems for 1. I know this question has been asked before, but companies (and the industry) can change in a short period of time. So, in your opinion, what companies are present the best flatbed jobs? Why?

I'm also interested in this; I live in Aurora, CO. So far System has been the best option as they have a Colorado Regional route with awesome pay. I have an interview at their local terminal on Wednesday but I am certainly open to suggestions. Melton looked great for OTR but if I can be home more and make the same money or more. I really wanted to get into pulling tanks but with 7 months of experience I haven't had any luck.
@Claymoresauce : I would definitely recommend checking out System Transport. If they have a regional account in your area it might be a better deal for you. For OTR it's hard to say but I believe Melton will pay a better cpm. For me it would be .43 then .48 when I hit 12 months of experience(in 5 months). The question is, who can work you more? -
System has a dedicated out of Commerce City hauling gypsum board. Seems that would be good if you don't want OTR.
Pirate_Freder and Sneakerfix Thank this.
