LOL, I know what you mean. I've got kids and grand kids down there, and I don't even have to go into any metro areas to see them. But I STILL don't like going to Cali. (And I was a cop there for over 20 years. Actually, perhaps THAT is the reason I don't much like to go there?)

Another day off today. Decided I'd fix my sloppy wiring job of the lights I put on my pick up so I Drove the 30 miles to the next town over to get some supplies ....got there and realized I had left my wallet at home :/
So back home i went , got my wallet and back to town I went. Got what I needed and came home and re-wired the drivers side the way it should've been done the first time. Just got that finished at about 6pm and it started raining so called it a day, will finish the passenger side tomorrow. Went and got some pizza for supper. Now the rains gone and the Suns out but my belly is full of pizza and I ain't feeling like getting out there crawling around under the truck anymore tonight.

The heat index tomorrow and for the week will be over 100 degrees. And I will be out in the thick of it.

Sure wish I'd have gotten a real job way back when.

Hmmm, thinkin' YOU are the one with the faulty beaver, er meter, uh judging meter. (knew I'd get it eventually.) :D
I don't think anybody who prefers living in the uuper midwest, has a whole lott to say about other folkz judgemint.:biggrin_25512: :biggrin_25523:

20-20 hindsight? Hell, we all have that, Dave. Comes down to the fact that nobody but you can change your situation. And yes, you CAN! Might be tough to do, might have to live on beans until you can get re-established. But I just can't believe that you can't find something better in your general area.

In psychology they teach about games people play. One of the biggies, is the "I'd like to, but I can't" game. The player is always someone who wants to change some part of their life. But for every suggestion made by family, friends, (or psychologists for that matter,) they come up with a reason why they "can't do it." Some of the reasons, of course are quite valid. Others downright laughable.

It's up to you Dave. Nobody else can do it for you. Good luck, man.

Good lord NO I don't mean that. No way am I throwing stones at anybody who can't seem to quit smoking. Hell, it cost me thousands of dollars, several heart surgeries, with several hospital stays, and a recuperation during which I didn't even want to live, to convince me that I don't want to smoke anymore.
My wife STILL smokes, even after having cancer. I wish she would quit, but I'm not going to nag her about it.:biggrin_25513:

Oh I'm sure you've partaken of North and south!

I'm not picky, I like the whole thing.

Gawd I'm tired... Was starting to feel better when I quit the cpap machine for a month and a half only to get a call saying they need my data again.

Now I'm back beyond square one...

Just finished my last drop. Procrastinating only slightly until I can find a Walmart within range of my time limit.
