#1 I went to a place on FM529 and got a 495# pallet going to Crowley.
#2 I went to SDV and got two pallets Hazmat going to Manchester. Got there in time to not have them all gone to lunch and got out in darn near record time of 45 minutes!
#3 Went to Southwest Airlines Cargo for Lobsters that arrived last night. And took them out on Westhiemer.
I sent that I was getting close to sketchy fuel.
He sent go home.
Then he sent can you do one more Murphy to Cargolux? I said sure.
Got to Murphy 3:15. Did some creative loading.
Got the stuff to Cargolux then the forklift operator turned over the tallest heaviest crate.
Not my problem. Did paperwork and logbook.
Stopped at the car wash in Shepherd and used my last 6 quarters to wash my radiator as much as I could. Might have helped a smidgen. ..
Home as of 5:30.
And not dripping sweat.

Kinda feel like Dave today...
Ran an empty 30 miles to Lithia springs to get loaded, dropped and bobtaiked to the SNI operating center 35 miles away. Grabbed another empty and high-tailed it back to Lithia springs.
Dropped that trailer and grabbed the now-loaded unit I dropped earlier so I could run back to Forest park. Bobtailed back to that shipper, which was supposed to be done by the time I got back, and now I'm waiting for them to finish loading.
Thank god for back roads on that run. Back roads cut anywhere from 5-10 minutes of travel time one-way since I'm not dealing with the i20 to i285 interchange.
Going to have to deal with the interchange on the return trip though... There were 2 accidents on my shortcut that'll delay more than help.
Oh. If anyone is curious... I20 headed into Atlanta, take exit 44. Turn south onto Ga8/Thornton rd and follow that. It'll take you to 285 right above the i85 exits.
Just got me finished. But I'm not done yet. Once I've dropped this I have to run down to McDonough, ga and pick up two loaded units down that way. Hopefully i75 won't be too bad, but i675 should spit me out just below the problem areas.
After that, I'm homeward bound. -
Had no idea Pete....and never intended to b over there....got my in Duluth(don't ask...lol)Ol Man called said our farm buddy....jus told the pkg house in the Keystone to stick it.....he'll jus leave the 250bushel of spuds in one of his storage bins....I guess he tried to dump the rate over a buck a hundred weight on em....so there were 4of us....had to do sum quick shufflin...but made it work....

Yes, it does. It gets a little confusing, so I chose to use what's listed on the exit sign versus what the road actually is. Figured you guys knew about it anyways.

Headed home from work today and seen a company closing up shop in town with sign out saying shop sale. Stopped in for a look and left with three good sized WeatherGuard truck tool boxes and a headache rack all for $300 total!
Got no idea what I'll do with all of this but was too good a deal to pass up on lolAttached Files:

If I could just find a way to get a van I would.
My truck is getting quite spendy lately.
But it's hocked to a place in Livingston.
And I'm not sure how much it would bring on the market... -

I assume that's the type thing you're looking for?
Two hours in heavy 2-8mph traffic... My legs are admittedly sore. But I still want to keep my manual.
Atlanta has some of the most ridiculous traffic that I'm aware of. And for the most stupid of reasons.
Eating some food when I get back to the house and then hitting the sack.Rocks Thanks this. -
Hey Otter, I need some of those... I lost my old Swift see thru ruler... miss that... Now have only (can't remember the co. name)... but it's broken... Save the rulers you have and keep them with you for next time we meet... would you?
Vilhiem and otherhalftw Thank this. -
Have been running at night... It messes up a little with my sleeping... but I like the empty roads... less interaction with vehicles and no traffic jam thru big cities...
Saves me time too...
Then... I arrive at the truck stops when they are practically empty...
This was Fast Stop Travel in Vandalia, IL before yesterday... When I woke up at midnite, the place was almost full...
And this other one... arrived at 14:00...
Tried 3 different spots till I chose where would park for the night... Actually, taking my 34 here... In PA. Delivering in NJ on Monday.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, Vilhiem and seabring Thank this.
