When I started as a Trooper I look 2 polygraphs and a 20 page application but never a phone integrity whatever
Ougigoug Thanks this. -
I appreciate it.
I wish the same for you and yours.
Long story but close enough. -
Pretty sure you won't take a poly as a trucker. Unless you're hauling nukes.
-
Just ridiculous. Melton needs to get off their high horse.
Canned Spam, Chinatown, Tonitos and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yep, Melton has the integrity interview plus driver facing cameras.
drvrtech77 and Tonitos Thank this. -
Several flatbed companies to choose from that don't have driver facing cameras.
Make some phone calls and ask about it before wasting time filling out applications. -
And likely more than their share of empty seats . If you read between the lines the integrity interview sounds like the uppers trying to raise the quality of the applicant but here again in typical truck management style they shoot themselves in the foot.
I just don't get those folks at all. They keep buying and using all these driver management tools trying to micro-manage the driver and it doesn't work.
So here in this example they buy this interview tool and try and trap the driver in a trick question, ok you win, the driver smoked a doobie at 16 and forgot to list something on his record......fine, your perfect, I forgot . So he fails the sniff test and we booted him out.......yes sir we are a better company for it and it only cost us a grand or so in wasted time and tools, lets call another one.
Geeze.... -
Google : "Integrity Interview" to learn how to pass the interview.

Funny.... Whenever I say I've never smoked pot, I get the "yeah... Right ... Suuure you never smoked pot" answer, even though I'm being honest.... Lol.
Seriously, unless someone is applying for something requiring very serious screening for security(you know, the "I could tell you but I'd have to kill you" type) or police work, whatever goes on way back in the applicant's high school years shouldn't be any of an employer's business.Last edited: Jul 26, 2015
