    yes hurricane mills in Tennessee...great barbecue place out front of the Pilot but my food was better so that's what we ate last night...we didn't get out much quicker than you did it for at point discomfort.

    Etan, I run a dedicated route. I go from Bowling Green, Kentucky to Portland, Tennessee everyday. Home every night. Just did my drop and hook, and I am on my way to Bowling Green. I generally take my 30 minute lunch around 12, and back at it again.

    Yea that's love right there. I wish the house was on my route but sadly it's about 3 hrs out of route. What I love about it is I don't have to deal with checking in just arrive and hit the dock. Unload and reload at the same door on both ends.

    Edit: I also have the same trailer all the time which happens to be brand new still has the manual stuck to the side lol.

    a manual for a trailer? If if you need to read the manual to operate the trailer you lost your right to mingle...actually guessing it's probably a conveyor trailer so you do need to know something

    We don't have CB radios. We have company radios, which allows us to talk to anybody, and that includes other drivers as well.I just swipe my badge to clock in to go to work, and clock out to go home for the day. We get paid to eat lunch, fuel up the truck, and do pre /post trip inspections. We even laugh, tell jokes, and send each other picture text messages when ever we have some down time. My family really likes it because their daddy more often, and especially are soon to be 1 year old daughter. My daughter and I have developed a good bond with each other now than ever before. Now she will go and look out the window to see when her daddy is coming home. When I come home from work. My wife greets me with a kiss. My kids come up and give me hugs, because they missed me. It's moments like that makes you appreciate a lot. My faith in God has got stronger now than ever before. I would be lying if I didn't say I am truly blessed and deeply grateful. Before with the deployments, and me being on the road hurt my relationship in all aspects, and not just my relationship with my family, but most importantly, it hurt my relationship with God. Honestly, I never did anything to jeopardize my marriage, but it didn't help being gone, but I will say this, I truly tip my hat to you all for what you all do out there. Day in and day out. What I do now made me appreciate what I have done to get where I am now. I give God the praise for that. When I see a Con-way Truckload truck, I pause for a moment with a smile on my face, and not for the horrible experience, I had with one of the load planners, and some fleet Managers there. The smile comes from meeting some of the nicest drivers that work for the company. The drivers I have met at different terminals I went to. When I say you all have a special place in my heart. I sincerely mean that. Each driver I have met at Con-way Truckload is what made the experience memorable.

    Well said, I had issues as well with fleet managers as well at my 2 and a half years employment at CWTL. I know what ya mean about the kids I have a 5 Yr old son myself. All he wants to do is figure out what Dad is doing. I saved all my bills from when I was OTR and he actually maps the route out on one of my old atlases. I've also taught him HOS as well. When I'm away he drives his little big truck around the house and uses my old bills as he's a real driver. It really makes me happy. I'd say at 5 he probably knos more about driving than a lot of noobies do lol. I'd have to agree with you tho the drivers at Conway were some of the best I've ever worked with. Although there is a few bad apples there.

    baby trucker had to go home for a family emergency. I dropped him off at the Greyhound station in downtown Frederick Maryland...that was really fun

    I lost my fleet manager yesterday don't know what happened, empty in Rhode Island 1 day early...probably no clam rolls this trip.

    delivered Rhode Island 24 hours early, hazmat load coming out, North East pay, approximately 900 miles heading to Indy...missed the lobsters and clams but maybe next trip
