1st of all, it's PA. Get use to it. I have a saying: "IL, IN, OH, MI are the axis of A-holes, they have more A-holes per capita than any other region of the USA and PA is petitioning for membership". They can't help being like they are, it's inbred into their DNA, taught to them in school, and forced down their throat with every meal.
An Interesting Situation

There is very little courtesy out here anymore.
You had good intentions but of course Big Hammer couldn't be bothered.
When you drive a limited truck it's best to stay where you are and let the merging traffic deal with getting onto the highway.
Of course they think YOU have to let them in..but that's a whole different ball of wax. -
The..... same ole ....same ole.
Trucker on the on ramp hopes that traffic will cut him some slack.
Trucker in the R/H lane moves over to be courteous.
Faster trucker behind the nice trucker in the hammer lanes cusses him out on the CB.
Trucker that merged shows no appreciation and leaves him hanging out in the hammer lane.
It is sad that there are so many trucker ######## out there.Mudguppy, Big Don, Rick Brown and 1 other person Thank this. -
No win situation in a no win career path.
I'm super jealous of the retired and about to be retired forum members.Pintlehook Thanks this. -
I am getting ready to retire, from cable. I am planning on being a paid tourist.
-
Then you're entering the wrong line of work.
-
Nope, did that when I went into cable. You guys think trucking is bad, you should try this stuff for a while...lol201 Thanks this.

Not a trucker problem, a person problem...that dood is an idiot everywhere, and karma will prevail!!!
So many of us lookin out for eachother, helping eachother with spacing etc etc..
Love it when one of you guys spots me in a pinch and adjusts before i even know whats going on!!
What I find interesting, is a.) your thread title, not really interesting, just standard
and b.) driving 24 years and you make a thread for one bad merge?
You need to come up out of Mayberry!! Its way worse than you imagine!!!
Pretty soon you'll have driverless vehicles texting eachother!! Enjoy the freedom to butcher the merge while you can!!! -
Hi Longarm, that's not entirely true. While things are a lot different than they used to be, don't kid yourself. We had plenty of headaches years ago. 2 lanes, school buses, farm tractors, and yes, them pesky 4 wheelers. I will admit, I'd have a tough time on the roads today, and I too thought camaraderie was gone until I came here, and found out, there's lot's of cool people, many that would still help, if they could. As far as a no win career, can't help ya' there. I did ok, but there were a lot less reg's then, and I'm not sure I have the patience to make it today but it's still a pretty easy way to make a living. ( the truck does all the work)
Big Don, Rick Brown, Straight Stacks and 1 other person Thank this. -
Truckers that treat other truckers badly is one of the main problems out there today. We always cry out about the DOT, 4-wheelers, shippers, receivers, truck stops, general public, dispatchers, companies....etc. etc. etc.
When I see truckers going out of their way to treat others truckers bad because of.......company, slow truck, slow backing, etc. etc. etc.
I can see why we are in such a bad way.
The industry seems to thrive on it. They fear driver unity. They fear unity because some drivers might just wake up and realize that they are being pawned. But......the average Joe will put up with it because they fear losing the mortgage, or rent money.Pintlehook, Straight Stacks, Big Don and 1 other person Thank this. -
you assume he is straight, ..............
he could be into beastiality......as well..........???
and not even be into female beasts at that.........!!!!!
