The thing that ticks me off is about this is that this "service" is not available after 11pm. I don't care about the service, but they then close the fuel lane this service is set up in so the fuel pumps in that lane are unusable after 11pm.
New Loves gimmick?

I wouldn't necessarily blame the girl. It's the parents fault for not teaching her or enforcing her to check the oil or let her know at what mileage or time intervals the oil should be changed.
There are alot of lazy parents out there too.truckon Thanks this. -
Why don't you go to another T/A shop and show your receipt and ask them to fix the previous Tech's mistake?
I'm pretty sure they won't charge you.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and truckon Thank this. -
The first one is free, after that I just use my points off my loves card...and loves will even add free tirepass credits to your card if you use it. Otherwise it will cost 5 bucks, but I never paid for it yet.

My old '86 Schneider International COE had a little access door where the dipstick was and that was the same place you poured the oil.
HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and Cranky Yankee Thank this. -
Cody, let me mention why I do all my own maintenance, especially tire checking. For one thing, I buy my own tires, so it's important for me. Then too, will you agree there is no perfect human being? So if the guy only makes one mistake/year, and it's on your truck. he's 99.9% accurate, but you're still screwed. If I make a mistake doing my own inspections, pressures, and all, I don't care because I already know I'm human, and not a perfect specimen. I accept that.
Last comment is on the tire guage you're using. (do you still have yours?) They're not all the same. I went thru about 3 of the truck stop Chinese varieties, OK but not that great. Finally hooked up with my NAPA parts guy in my home town, a short track race car owner, and spent a few bucks on the digital guage the NASCAR teams use. Accurate to .1 lbs, problem went away. I don't need accuracy that close, but I do need an accurate pressure reading to make effective decisions about my tire pressures. Best. -
Is there anything we can do about idiots who block a fuel lane for their selfish "I have to take my break somewhere and I can't find a parking space" BS?" I hate that, and people who think like that, so much. So, is there anything we can do about it? I mean, legally?

It cost 5 bucks for tractor, 5 bucks for trailer. I've attempted to use it for DH trailers, but every time it turned into a fiasco. Last time the manager trainee was having a problem with the machine, left the airline hooked up, loss like 40 psi in the tires. He said the machines broke, I told him he lost 40 psi in my tires and now it's not drivable. They had to open the shop and air ip my tires. Never again, lost about an hour and a half.

$10 bucks to use the lane hmmm. Even though I get a great fuel discount at Loves, my number 1 choice is TAPetro then number 2 PilotJ.
A lot of these guys like to park in the shade of the fuel canopy for their 30 minute breaks. Not sure what to do about it-- truck stops get on the PA system but nobody cares. -
I remember a Love's cashier asked me if I was parked before she gave me a shower. I said I was. I commented that it was sad she had to ask that. She told me she had arguments with drivers who were on the fuel island and wanted a shower, claimed they'd be out on 10-15 min. She told them the tow truck was across the road and would have him hooked up in 5 minutes. They always left to move their truck.Starboyjim, HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this.
