All In all you'd have better luck at a drop and hook company than at eagle. Dealing with brokers is a pain in the butt dms dont find good loads. All 12 of my drivers I've referred all but 1 have went elswere and all making money. The so called freedom to book you loads ain't worth it the tools were to get to make us successfull never seen them. Why drive and pay for a truck for free but in the end aren't you all here to get a truck and pay for it and make a great profit more than a company driver would when in the end you're paying for a truck driving it for free not making a paycheck and the authority is making 25% off of you heck if anybody is willing to drive for free let me know I'll get you a truck..lol

Another email to dispatcher explaining why 1.42 freight doesn't get it done......

Look who ever called me isn't helping me....he's helping eagle and I'll tell u why...his load that he said was 1.70 a mile wasn't even close...1400 +100 dh...let's forget the dh for now...2000/1400 Waco tx to King William va is 1400 and probably more miles....it's 1.42 a mile before Eagles 25% x.75 is 1.07 -.40 fuel .67x1400=938 that's three days on that load...and I haven't even covered my trailer, tractor, insurance Qualcomm and maintence fund ! And then he gets an attitude with me after that....when I point out he can find a shorter load that is 2 a mile, then he argues with me and tries to say it's the best load ....no it's not! so eagle made 500 im still in the hole.....here's why 2 a mile works...2500 x2 =5000x.75 after Eagles cut 3750-1098truck,trailer,Qualcomm and insurance +175 maintenance =2477- 1000 for fuel =1477-193 child support coz that's still deducted 1284 and I still need to pay taxes and tolls and other expenses. But forget that now ....at 2 a mile 2500 eagle makes there 1250 I make the same everybody is happy.....if I keep taking low paying loads I make nothing but boy eagle sure does,lol....sound good to U? Do they not tell u this stuff or why it's important ...driver needs to get paid...he's taking a lot of risk too! Even at 1.80-1.70 if lighter loads eagle still makes there's but I need to make something too....u need to send this to brad or someone in management or anyone else...coz it's obvious eagle isn't trying to help me only themselves.....and no don't tell me it's the area im in..there are decent 3-500 mile loads all over the country .....but hey,I never get them....coz I need to drive when brokers are opening and loads start appearing...also I need to get to Indy coz apparently someone there gave away my reefer in Knoxville.....

    Sent from my iPad

So.... By saying what exactly makes me "####y" because me replying to what eagle said about the driver? I wouldn't call that being ####y, but thats just my opinion. Also I've never said how great sni choice is, I've said it works for me. Thats it. There are plenty and plenty of drivers that have no business leasing, ANY LP deal, no matter how great, can end in failure, whether the company or driver is at fault it doesn't usually have a good outcome, but because I've posted my experience with this program so far you make it seem im on a high horse. Thats fine, and honestly a opionin from a stranger, on a online forum doesn't have a huge impact on my life/job, but im the same person i was back in the "uz days" as i am now, being honest with my experience, thats it. Sorry... Didn't mean to write a book. Stay safe

Fr8, you have to pull over for an hour or two in the mornings and look and call on loads off the loadboards yourself. Start talking to the brokers and tell them you're going to be delivering tomorrow in this area I see your load is posted, I would like the details on it -- pu and del times and how much does it pay etc. Forget those operation moron-agers. Start talking directly to the brokers and get and give digits. Soon they will be calling you trying to load you if they like your service.

I do,but it's not my strong suit but im getting better...I understand what your saying....even I do that the rate plummets as soon as I give them the mc.....had a brokers monkey answering calls and he asked me my mc number and asked me my price...I gave him the lane rate price ....he bickered with the agent then told me sorry we're to far apart ...so I asked him what he can do it for...he says 100 and says sorry he doesn't know what is wrong with the agent now...then hung up,lol....im like wtf?

What? A 100 bucks, I would have just hung up on him. Lol. I used to could get some killer rates from TQL. Sometimes they are cheap, but sometimes they are desperate. Bad thing is I believe Eagle is in the brokers system as a cheap carrier, maybe that's why you can't get better rates from them.
