We always use lumpers....
Thursday I paid out $570 in lumpers fees. Big G never complains about it.JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Tow, I just wanted to tell you thanks for your straight shooting info. I'm just lurking. I like reading peoples deal that are happy where they are. I'm in the same situation at my company as you are. Happy fat and just tickled pink where I am. But, it's always good to have some info in your back pocket just in case.Wild Murphy Thanks this.

I always thought that I should have a backup plan. You never know what may change in the future.JohnBoy Thanks this.

I have no doubt that he is, but hearing good stuff about a company from one person doesn't always mean it's a good company. I mean, wildmurphy has a positive experience with Crete, and I hope it continues for him, but many others, including myself, didn't. So I like to get a consensus based many drivers experiences from a array of years with the company before making a decision.Arkansas, JohnBoy, Wild Murphy and 3 others Thank this.

SUPERSNACKBAR i agree with you. I worked for SHAFFER four years ago and i got tired of their way of operating after one year. I now drive for a company that tow used to drive for before he went over to BIG G. He was the guy who told me.to come drive for my present company. I am very happy where I am now and I owe that to tow. If I ever do decide to go somewhere else i would definitely look into BIG G EXPRESS,
JohnBoy and supersnackbar Thank this. -
I think most companies pay because a lumper fee is a tax deduction, but increased workers comp rates and settlements to drivers if they are required to unload and get hurt aren't. I could be wrong, but...

When I first started reading this thread and read Shelbyville I was picturing Big G's place in Mt. Juliet for some reason. I didn't realize Big G had that many locations.
