My late wife was a short order cook and then a school cook. I appreciate the survivor's pension and health insurance she passed on to me.

My wife had the tough job of raising 2 kids, keeping things going at the house (like mowing, cleaning, etc), and then listening to me grump and complain about my tough day when I would call.

Once the kids were grown and out on their own, my wife started her own craft and baking vendor business at our local farmers market which lead her to also become the market manager as well. Then in 2014 her dad passed away and her elderly mom moved in with us. Now on top of all her market duties, she takes care of her mom (who doesn't drive but has a half dozen doctors she has to see fairly often)

Like super ^, my ex stayed at home and did an excellent job of taking care of our kids. She had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with my trucking biz. Many spouses do or did the paper work, but my ex said, that's YOUR baby. She never liked my trucking, and eventually, it broke our family up. Nowadays, with modern sleeper "apartments", it's a lot different, but back in the day, few women would share the "tin can" with you. Be advised, a few trips is one thing, but day after day (after day) could be another.

Mine got tired of sitting around at home all day, so she got a part time job at a pizza joint around the corner from the house.

My wife when she isn't driving her shift, she's dropping it down low.

I dunno....some fancy title about something to do with wall coverings and design computer something or another. She makes about what I make and we share the kid and house duties.

Mine was 12 yrs as LEO, 8 years as fraud detective. Retired and does security consulting and PI work now,... when she isnt out on the road with me.

She (can) make in 3 days what I make in a month. Depends on what gig she's working on.

She handles my legal matters and taxes.
