Thought maybe they had something new. I knew they made an 8 auto, thought maybe rockwell decided to de-automate an automated box.

 

No. I have met lots of drivers who refer to a 9 spd that way. Dont know why, but hey, whatever. Its probably because of the way the shift pattern is labeled. It has an L and 1-8.

Eaton Fuller does make an 8 speed with two low gears. I've driven 6 and 7 speed quite a bit. The 9 speed is the lowest gears with an upper and lower range.

 

Guess this lack of posting is a good thing. Must mean everyone is too busy to chat.

Well, finished up my first week with Big G. Definitely not what I'm use to. Been treated way beyond expectations. Did over 2k miles and only ran a few days due to orientaion which was cool. They treat you good. Brand new hotel. Get your own room. Meals paid for. Great group of guys we all ate together at Huddle House and over tipped the waitress. Took a load by the house Tuesday night then headed out. Just got home today. Going back out Tuesday morning. Already got my insurance cards need to get my teeth cleaned lol.

 

Congrats kroozn on the first week! I am setup for orientation next Monday with them. Buuuuttt.... I also have a job offer from UPS freight. Choices choices lol
