They got me already preplanned for after North Carolina too, going to buffalo, not far from where I live, (home time?), so I'm hoping.

Yep she's actually in the Philippines.

Wound up having to shut down right after I was loaded, they loaded me as fast as they could being there were a lot of trucks and few people here. Luckily they let me park here, and I can leave out early morning which will give me more time.

    Got a few questions.....
What are my chance of getting into a Volvo 780 from the start?
Does GPT have a rider policy from day one?
What percentage of your runs are overnight vs daytime?
How frequently do you do multi stop loads?
Is it possible to make $65k + without killing yourself (running 3500 or more miles per week)?

Volvo's? They are probably going to the guys who have been here, I guess, but the frieghtliners are also pretty nice. We've been getting new stuff in, so you never know. All the trucks are well maintained, and if something needs to be fixed, the shop does it's been to get you going. Safety's a big thing here. Rider policy....anyone over 12, and only 1 passenger.

Daytime vs. night time? Depends on the load, your hours, how fast the customers get you in& out. I'd say at least(conservatively) 75-80% of the runs are over 1k miles, some even over 2k, but expect to run a "shortie" Or two now & then to get you home or to where the good frieght is. Multi stops, it depends on what freight there is. Most loads I've done have been just point A to point B. And yes it's very possible and expected to run good here without killing yourself.

3500mi a week is killing yourself? I'd be bored out of my mind if I only ran 2500. I used to run 3900 every week for several years.

Still waiting to unloading here, another one of those "we'll take as long as we want and we don't care if you're late for your next stop" places, hoping to get my next drop off and get into a hiding spot before the 14 hour clock runs out, then o grab my load for home tomorrow. Got a call from that "other" place, sounds like they are trying to grab drivers from here, I only told them "I'm doing just fine here for right now", which is true, not really interested in jumping around like that, especially I've only put a few months in here, I guess the "hey look at us, we got TV sets in our trucks!!" ploy must not be working too well for them.:biggrin_2559:

I personally think the tv sets mean they are sitting too much. One month in now and I am happy with my miles. I do wish we could use trans-flo instead of trippak, but still better than fedex. I will deliver this load at 2100 tonight and it was 2850 loaded and 307 empty, so long loads are most of what I have recieved. The shortest load I have had was 808 loaded. Supposed to be going home, hopefully they will let me know what I am doing before they leave today. I don't imagine it will be easy to find a parking spot in Allentown pa after I get unloaded.
