I'm sitting here in Denver ta waiting for my ride to the house watching these awful backing drivers. It's hilarious, but sad at the same time. There's three spots on my row but nobody has been able to get in. May, swift, and a o/o. May went and just parked at the end with no spot. Swift made a loop and parked against the curb. Blocking the spots. I was helping a driver back in and asked swift to move up 15 feet. He Gave me a look like I told him I was sleeping with his wife and his daughter!Said thanks and walked away and heard him start up.
He peels out and loops the parking lot and tries to park in a end spot I passed on earlier. (To tight and blind side) He gets trapped between the concrete wall barrier and the may truck parked on the end. Forward, back, forward, back, etc, etc for awhile screaming words I don't use. Got out of the jam and parked against the curb again comes up to me ranting and foaming at the mouth! Red as a tomato. Said it was my fault he's over 8 minutes on his hours. I was going to try and help guide you in the spot. . More poor vocabulary. Just told him not my fault you can't back up. He said a few more choice words, so I just started talking to the other driver again. So the little 5'3" bald red faced stomps off in his 1980 reeboks, shorts that reach his ankles, and flinging all kind of nice word's.
So not only can the little troll not back his truck he had a temper like a troll.JUST KEEP COOL AND CHIVE ON!!!
Hope my truck is okay when I get back. Lol. He was quite upset, I must say. And the driver next to me went to go tell him he was leaving shortly. Told him not advised. Think he was looking for some trouble.

Glad to see y'all are doing good over there. I do wave at you when I see you guys.
Far as the tv and sitting go? I don't sit that much here. Heck I may watch an hour of TV before bed. Anyways... Keep up the good work and have fun!! -
I was at the Greensboro Ta a couple of nights ago and one of swift's trainee teams decided to back in to a spot across from me and almost hit me twice, then gave up, trying to back into another area with 4 open spots, then came around and backed into the same spot as before, with about 5 people spotting them. I can't help but wonder wonder if swift, CR England, and CRST, are all in competition for the worst training programs.

That's great, what a A-HOLE I was at the Petro in Carlisle PA about 85 open spots three Swift trucks and a car hauler parked in the red zone, all day and nite,we're talking pull throughs open everywhere. I don't get it, LAZY! You see a lot on a restart. People letting there dogs crap on the lawn where everyone walks to get to the store-restaurant don't even clean it up. And life goes on, heading to Washington-

Sounds like everyone is having a blast. I enjoyed my hometime, not long enough though and they asked me to leave out a day early. But they did give me a good load, picked up in newport news and have five stops between there and portland. Got stopped by an Indiana trooper last night, tried to give me a speeding ticket in a construction zone. I told him, those signs said when flashing and none of them were flashing. He sent me on my way disappointed that I was able to read. Got into a parking spot with 2 minutes left on my 11.

I've been hearing about Indiana getting bad..., it's really screwed up, that state will pounce on the trucks for the slightest thing yet they can't even take care of their crumbling roads....

How much Norteast freight do you guys pull?? And what about NYC or the boroughs, do you have to run that?? And what is the average weeks ya all have to stay out??
-
I live in the northeast(upstate NY), and I'll go to the north east now and then when I'm out, and usually right back west unless I'm due to get home. As for NYC, they asked me once if I run that city and told them no, and that was that. Every where else is fair game. Since we run all 48 states and do a lot of coast to coast runs, it's minimum 3-4 weeks, and you get 1 day off per week out. If something comes up where you need an extra day it never hurts to ask. There's really no maximum limit on how long you can stay out, I usually shoot for 4-6 weeks, some guys like to stay out longer.

Are you still in the honey moon period? alot of companies are really sweet to you when you first start but once they get to know you the fun starts and the honeymoon is over. However if they are treating you well then by all means stay with them glad to hear from another happy driver.

No I have been working for GPT for awhile now, they treat me great
