That would hire a driver with 6 months experience? Talking mainly San Diego, LA, Orange County area. Open to Dry Van or Flat bed (though I have no experience in flat bed)
Also, is Averitt Express active that far west?
Companies out of Southern California (other than Schneider)

Southern Cali is the best place to live as a truck driver. Virtually every large company has a terminal there. Plus there are many small outfits out there. You should have no issue finding a job.

I considered moving to So Cal a few years ago as the girlfriends family is in Westminister. There's so many companies out there, I wasn't even going to bother looking for an employer until I got out there. My current company has a terminal in Torrence so now I could just transfer.

Gardner in Chino, Ca. will hire you. I just about guarantee it. Call them. But you need doubles endorsement. They hired my son right out of school, but my son has been around the business so that was a big plus form him. Also, they have excellent equipment and they are all well maintained. I just recommend them only as a starter company. Goodluck....

Is your son liking it there? Reason I ask is because there was a lot of bad stuff posted about that place on here. Like for example they pay per load not hourly.Last edited: Oct 2, 2015

After he settle in, NO, he doesnt like it. But like I said, I recommend it ONLY as a starter company. His thing is that they give him all the goodies to keep the truck in show condition. He is young and you know how the saying goes. He is finally realizing all the hours he puts in and is probably off flipping burgers, But he loves to drive and he was my right hand man when he was a kid and rode with me. He is already searching for other options. He is learning slowly about pay.....he was just excited when he got hired right out of school. I told him how to play the game, but you know kids, us adults with more experience dont know anything......
Florida Playboy Thanks this. -
