Ya, I did the same AND left Pete floor mats in 1514 when I gave it up, so whoever got it was lucky indeed.

Who'da thought that there would ever be a comment about an 80 inch sleeper being tight on space for a solo.(just kidding) The 1st truck I owned was a 42 inch flat top FLD. So small that you could lift the bunk without leaving the driver seat. And the tv shelf was a piece of plywood at the foot of the bed you stubbed your toe on in the middle of the night. The proverbial 'so small you have to step outside to change your mind' smalltucker and runningman0661 Thank this.

Here's some FYI to feast on and consider. The elder Gadberry sits on Pilot/J's board and we receive RACK PRICE for fuel. So, if ya ever wondered why you can't enjoy a Petro/TA shower - it's obvious...
-
My first truck was a 1984 international cabover. No power steering a single bunk where you had to move your stuff from bunk to the doghouse to sleep
-
If that's the case, maybe we could talk them into raising the caliber of hired staff, three times in the last month I've had to get a different shower room or a reclean because they did such a great job the first time around they forgot to clean the "short and curlies" off the toilet seat. If they failed on something that basic, what else did they forget to clean?

It happens, personally I am fine with the Pilot's, and bathrooms in general in trucking suck - maybe at the end of my career I will get an ARI sleeper truck and then I won't have to worry about sharing showers LOL

I've been considering Magnum for sometime now but just can't get past the 64mph trucks. I can't stand getting in a pack of trucks and not having the pedal to pass. How do u guys cope?
-
What speed or you governed at? Really this is pretty typical for a company that hires recent CDL grads given the current insurance climate, if you have three years of experience look at Monson and Sons, they are governed at 70 mph.
I personally don't have a problem with the limit per say, sure 68 would be nice, but as someone reminded me long ago we are paid by the mile and not the hour... -
My truck will run 73 mph. I work for a great little company but the job is pretty physical and tough for my "old man" back.
