I find it hilarious that nowadays, working over 40 hours a week and keeping the job for 7 months without missing a day of work is considered as 'busting my ###' . . .

    That's all. Good luck chap.

There's a guy on my Lessors thread that thinks seniority means nothing and after two months he should get anything he wants.

If you are unemployed go to State employment office and see if they send people to trucking school.
Check other government programs for unemployed. Some organizations for homeless have trouble finding drug or alcohol free people to send to school and will send almost anyone who walks in clean.
(I went to 2 trucking schools in my life free of charge)

An urban legend at TransAm is that the founder of company had a drug charge for trafficking. When I worked their a few old time drivers told me this was reason TransAm was tolerant of people with drug charges (5 years old felonies).

Wouldn't doubt it. I'm all for second chances. But I do believe driver will have "burden of proof" looming over them for sometime.

and most companies require a stable work history etc. Since I may have to wait for time to pass. Iwas thinking about WWOOF and Helpx its where you pick a place anywhere in the world and basically volunteer for a place to stay and food to eat. For instance I want to go to Hawaii, peru. etc.. I get aflight work at an organic farm or hostel for free b ut they give me food and aplace to stay for months. Would this pose a conflict to getting a job as a trucker? With unverified work history on my social? Its volunteer work basically anywhere in the world I book a flight and stay and eat for free.. that way atleast I can travel and see the world
