Seems like there's a whole lot of Violet Baureguard going on here. If you are operating a commercial vehicle your prioroty should be safety. When you try to pass a truck and can't pass in a timely manner, it makes the road less safe for those around you. When you're too lazy or too proud to let off the gas and let someone pass, you're reinforcing the same issue. We all have to share the road, a little courtesy would go such a long way. This is so petty. It sounds like my two kids arguing... "But mom, she tried to passsss meeeee". " He wouldn't slow down so I could pass! It's his fault.". To which I'd respond to my kids... Hey, lets work together here.

I like the ones like the one that passes me yesterday on the interstate. No cars for at least a mile behind us and 3 miles ahead of us. We were the only 2 there and the idiot needs to pull back over into my lane about 2 car lengths ahead of me. Well he was not that much faster than I was and I actually had to get out of the cruise just so that I could make some space. In this situation, there is nothing wrong with hanging out in the left lane a little longer and creating some more room.

A bit of a Polyanna approach. You're right in the fact that it does sound petty but it happens more and more all the time and in no way when someone has been driving along for a while minding their own business, in their own lane, is it too lazy or proud to back off and let the said driver in. Same goes for the clowns that refuse to back off when someone moves over to let them merge onto the highway then stays beside them. Drivers have to be responsible for their own actions and expecting others to be responsible for them instead is just plain rude and selfish.

For me, truck driving etiquette requires me to keep my CB radio turned on at all times and inform people going in the other direction of delays and Dot checkpoints and anything that might inconvenience other drivers. To me, drivers that don't use their CB radios are rude and inconsiderate and self-centered and deserve no consideration from me. I do agree about turning off the headlights as a courtesy to let someone know that it safe to pull back over into the right lane. I think its rude and inconsiderate to flash your high beams and blind someone to let them know it safe to pull over. It's one of those cases of someone trying to be courteous but inadvertently pissing the guy off that you're trying to be courteous to because you don't know any better.

This is what really bugs me. Classic case of me driving along at speed limit only to be passed by a driver in a big hurry and he cuts me off and ends up going slower than I was going originally which means he's going slower than he was when he was behind me originally.

Another good one is the guy who passes then gets off the exit 5 or less miles up.

If you tend to piss three ways at once or use your male member to direct an orchestra, sit down and pretend you need to crap. If that isn't manly enough for you at least put the lid up.

The little lever thingy actually flushes the toilet. There's a button on those automatic flushing toilets that accomplishes the same thing in case the sensor doesn't work.

If all that went over your head (pun intended) at least have the common courtesy to leave your name and address so we can all piss and #### on your home toilet.

Part of common courtesy you extend to your fellow drivers and truck stop staff. Clean up after yourself. Learn how to fuel up without spilling diesel all over the fuel island. Put your garbage in the can. Help make our home away from home a more tolerable place.

On this note even if there is heavy traffic I'll start my turn signal as soon as my trailer is clearing the front bumper of the truck I'm passing, then wait until there is a safe distance to come over. This lets the cars behind me know I intend to change lanes and discourages them from shooting the gap to pass on the right.
