Got my first 50 hours of CDL school completed today...150 to go. Just talked to Paul & he's already lined me up a trainer from Texas. Everything still on track for me to start in Fargo on the 30th! Look forward to joining y'all then!
cerberus63, SISYPHUS, Ordy19 and 2 others Thank this. -
Good to hear keep up the good work!txtodd Thanks this.

I'm chomping at the bit to get going...before this thing breaks down again. Guys in the breakroom look at you like you're nuts when you tell them that you're outa here. They are either gun-shy about moving on or are brainwashed thinking that Poly is the cat's meow. Or they're like Maninthemoon who don't need a paycheck but every once in a while, between breakdowns. Although, I have spoken to a couple drivers who have given me their phone number so I can text them updates once I get up to speed up there, maybe some more ex-Poly recruits if Poly keeps spinning down the tubes. I mean, I gave it 2 full years, and couldn't break 120k miles either year. Sorry...as an OTR company, Poly SUCKS.Loanerdude and SISYPHUS Thank this.

Just remember at Magnum we are good, but not perfect. Though with what you have been dealing with Magnum may seem like heaven LOL...ncmickey, Loanerdude and SISYPHUS Thank this.
-
Oh, I know. If they were perfect, I wouldn't qualify as a window washer for them. But just in regards to equipment and personnel(and how they treat the drivers)it will be like night and day.Loanerdude and SISYPHUS Thank this.

Heaven, perhaps. But it's 100% better than other carriers I've been associated with!Loanerdude and ncmickey Thank this.

Im in a logistical death spiral
at Poly this month....no miles.
Dispatch/Backhaul appears to have some new blood learning the ropes.
I was booted to the back of the load system recently
they had 12 re-powers/Breakdowns
to deal with ahead of me.
Im still trying to verify the no more new trucks data.
If that be the case , Poly will go down like the Titanic.
These aging P-Stars can't hang.
My truck is falling apart out from under me.
DPF system going nuts , and i keep smelling antifreeze
coming from the front , she seems to have sprung a leak.
.... you know the story
Im gonna look for it so i don't get stuck somewhere.
Thanksgiving is in my sights , don't want to miss the gathering.
Poly is dreamy for many in the break room ,
I avoid those happy little munchkins.
The wicked witch is going to pay them a visit sooner or later
and their pretty little red trucks are suddenly not going to be
able to take them anywhere they want to go.
Their delusions will be shattered when they are faced with sitting in a motel
broken down and Poly is totally unresponsive.
( not even a call or a text or a ' hey we have
some one on the way to bring you back for a loaner )
Shot down behind enemy lines and no-one coming to the rescue
stings pretty hard.
Alan and Jesse look at each other befuddled
.... " drivers ? ..." what drivers "
I was driving around today recalling the guy that sat in the hotel 18 + days before he finally figured it out and flew himself home.
Magnum has to be better than the Land of the Great Red Trucks.
Keep the world posted once you get on the inside SSB
