Nothing. I climb up on the tanker all day long. Some shippers will have a fall cage but most recievers dont.

FFE has a bunch of home daily, paid hourly (over $20) guys running shuttles in Ohio. I think they have a Cincy terminal or cold storage place they run out of. I used to run into a few in Cincy and Lima. They run sleepers, but many are actually local. They seemed happy.

Don't fall for the "home weekly" garbage from most of these regional van/reefer companies unless you consider 34 hours off ample time to live. There is no need to fear tankers for having to climb up on them. All of our tanks have ladders on the side which we use to climb just high enough to ensure the dome is closed after picking up our preloaded trailers. Tankers are the way to go if you enjoy driving a truck and making good money without living in a truck. Most of these van/reefer companies expect you to sit on docks for no pay and that wasted time adds up really quick.
