Haven't posted here in a long time...if ever. I'm out of Melbourne, Florida (1 hour east of Orlando) and I start with Prime flatbed division on Jan 26th, 2016. Just wanted to say hello and get some updated reviews and advice from those who have experience with Prime flatbed or flatbed in general.
I have 2 years driving experience as a Florida intrastate driver with a local Mayflower agent and have decided it's time to move to some OTR driving. Ultimately the goal is to try the L/O option after driving company for a while as I have seen many success stories come from Prime's L/O program.
Thanks and drive safe.
Just got hired with Prime Inc.

That's fantastic! Best of luck to you.

Flatbed to go home is going to be rough. Get out of the house you'll deadhead to GA or SC. There's a drop yard in Auburndale if you don't have parking. Make sure your truck 65 mpg on the petal and cruise control. Good luck to you sir!

Don't tell him that, people will go ballistic when he pass's someone. People's brains catch on fire when they see a Prime truck in the hammer.

I have heard they are governed fairly low but its all about the mpg's now I guess. My current employer has no limiter and we cruise at 75-80 if needed. Time to pump the brakes and relax for a bit. I've been in the moving industry my whole life so flatbed is the only logical choice for me. Nothing against dry-van or refer but I cant fathom a life of drop and hook. I need the physical labor aspect to enjoy my job, but that's just me, I know everyone is different.
Lepton1, Dominick253, BentleyB and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thanks for the good wishes as well, Prime seems like a decent company.
