Couple months ago I was in Wyoming cruising at 70 mph and a black prime truck pulling a tanker blew my doors off. I couldn't believe it
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -

I've been passed a couple times by Prime when I was rolling at 65 and once at 70, thought I was in the Twilight Zone
NavigatorWife and scottied67 Thank this. -
Saw a o.o black prime last week going 70.

LOL, keep in mind, there are 3-4 different companies pulling Prime trailers, I seriously doubt that they are governed but not sure. Also Prime logistics trucks (independent owners/Operators) are not governed. Also prime company trucks and Lease trucks are governed as stated, some may be just a tad off but not by much.
Messing with the computer chip is grounds for firing, and they all get checked each time you pull into a Prime yard, plus the Q/C reports speed to your FM.
So all this said, you were more than likely being passed by either a PHANTOM or one of the trucks/contractors that I have stated above.scottied67 and Brehon Thank this. -
I remember years ago when Prime used to blow you off the road pulling those Great Dane reefers with 2 sets of mudflaps
