Not just Schneider but alot carriers pay that way. It's called HHG or HouseHold Guide miles. If you more accurate miles then find a carrier like Crete that pays particular miles at 50¢ a mile and only gives you 1500 miles a week.

Why would I find another carrier with more problems? I've found my niche and I'm just fine for now. My point was I don't agree with the philosophy behind allowing a driver to work 100% for 90% pay. If I couldn't find away around it, I wouldn't still be driving:cool:

It's not like every load is like that. My comment only pertained to the ones that are. It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Can't expect much else from a starter company

Thank you Richard Schmitt for dropping TA948600 at P&G in Oxnard CA with out washing it out (or sweeping very well) after a load of hay was hauled in it... P&G loaded it right up and here I am, stuck with it after a live unload. What a respectful and caring driver you are!

When I drove for Knight, we used to haul alfalfa dudes from Utah down to Long beach and NOBODY(except me) ever cleaned those trailers out afterward and the darn things would sit, get hot and sweat the inside of the trailer and the next guy who opened it got blasted with hot, moldy funk and the trailer would stink like hell, even after repeated washes.

    91B20H8 and Vilhiem Thank this.

Yep, and pine needles out of FL. Wood chips, whatever they can put in a dry van. And of course the driver won't sweep it out when empty.

I don't think I've ever come across a food grade empty. If I have, it had a king pin lock on it:(
