First year at Schneider. Just received an email that freight is slowing down with a number of drivers sitting waiting for their next load. Is this normal for this time of year? If so how long does it normally last

As far as sitting, I haven't done much sitting except for needing a different load to get back to nc from oh for thanksgiving. They tried to send me to mn. Uh, no. Other than that I'm expecting to sit the day after Christmas but you never know.
-
Through out the year I would say most of my waiting for a load for more than an hour is between November and the first week of Jan. But everyone has different experiences depending on where in the great USA you are.

OC is out of Canada so lot of back and forth across the border. Mostly Ohio, Indiana New York and Pennsylvania
Libertine Thanks this. -
Since you can't legally run loads within the US, it's probably taking them longer to find you a load to go back up north.

It'll be pretty slow from Christmas through the new year a bit after the holidays slow January and February
terryg247 Thanks this. -
4th quarter of this year is a joke compared to last year.
Slow everywhere I suppose. -
Yeah it is extremely bad right now I can't recall it being this bad in a long time... I certainly hope it's just because of the holidays and not something that's going to be coming for a foreseeable future and hanging around

Yeah, it will pick back up once we elect a new president.
