Oh, I'm not unhappy right now. Nick covered me on layover and I will have 3200+ miles so far on this pay period with plenty of days left after delivery before the new cutoff day. Even with all the these 34's, I am still turning more miles than when I was at Poly simply because I'm not breaking down every week.
The wife says it's going to be 86 degrees tomorrow at home....Santa is going to pass out from heat stroke.

Did you walk over to the Grizzly Bear Saloon?

Na, I have no interest in bars or saloons, even ones that are just tourist attractions.

Thanks to this delay, it has allowed winter weather to move in, and that may keep me from making my delivery on time. If I could have picked up Thursday like I was told I could, I would be in Indiana and clear of winter. Now, most of I94 between Fargo and the twin cities is snow covered and slippery(according to multiple websites) which means that I won't be able to run as hard as I need to turn the 1500 miles to the customer and still have hours to run on Tuesday morning after delivering. Which means I will probably have to wait until Wednesday for my next load. This is the last Christmas I ever sacrifice to try to get ahead on miles, it's just like every other holiday I have stayed out for, a total waste of time.

Sitting at home in Southern Indiana and we are looking at strong thunderstorms today...this is a weird Christmas season weather wise. Stay safe out there and hopefully you'll clear the snow soon.tucker Thanks this.

He was not loaded.
The place is closed so he has to wait.

Delivers 2am Tuesday morning...eastern time. Load didn't load until 8 am central today. Now, you might like trucking thru ####ty weather conditions, but in the ####ed up mood I am in most of the time, right now I don't give a flying ####. I made it to Fargo. Major cross winds, winged trailer, snowing and blowing. I honestly have lost my will to push hard. 7 restarts in 6 weeks, more appointment time screwups than I can count (maybe they were telling me my appointment was earlier so the new guy was sure to get there, but it screws me out of time on my 14) now this miscommunication that puts me in snowey windy weathet? Sorry... It's going to end up using sunday and monday just to get there for a 2 am delivery, then my 14 will be shot once again.

Awwww, snack is being his normal self again. Has a job he loves to hate, and knows that holidays always screw up delivery schedules, and that the weather is a factor....Add in the pressure of the pay check to pay check living, and yea, nothing seems good.
runningman0661 and ncmickey Thank this.
