Night driving and staying awake

IMO, the number one thing is keeping your mind engaged. I've found that a radio talk show you can take at least some interest in, can be a fantastic tool when driving in the dark/overnight.

 

That works the best for me. I get out and get my blood pumping a little, maybe only a minute or two.

 

There's so many inside jokes I wanna say right now........

Second that, we called it "taking a 10 and 2" 10 min out of the truck and at least 2 laps around the truck

 

Lol! Mind out of the gutter, Driver.

 

Stop 20 miles later and do it again....

 

lol,that guy has some funny ways to keep awake.wonder if He yells out the window also lol.

 

I usually turn the AC on and have something cold to drink. Other times its Sirius/XM. There been a few times I ran into a driver going same direction we both were dead tired and started BS ing back and forth and before I knew it I was where I needed to be wide awake

 

Never yelled out the window, but have sang at the top of my lungs to try and stay awake.

 

When I knew I was diriving all night, I would make sure to take a nap right before sun up, so when I get up after my nap, the Sun is up.. Kinda tricks your mind thinking it got a full night sleep and was ready for a full day of driving..
