    1. hard hard work floor to cealing front to back 3500+ boxes trailers weighing 40k+ unloads can take as long as 8 hours for 2000+ box stores ive done them in 3 but if dollar tree doesnt work quick expect to be atr that store 4.75+hours a store with 700 boxes takes about 45 minutes if there quick again your at the mercy of dollar tree employees who are hourly and dont give a crap how fast they work and your paid 30-45$ per stop 2-6 stops per load an empty unloaded trailer pays 90$ starting pay out of school expect 30 per stop 90 for unload and .33-.37 per mile expect long long tiring days 11-14hours home for weekends 36 hours. the safety managers are way protective for the company and literally document everything youve done wrong for example i ran over grass at a customer very very small ding in grass and they called and schneider marked it as a preventable accident... expect to haul freight when empty to the warehouse from your home town or state expect to potentually fill in on other accounts as needed for example i did the family dollar for about a month. PRE TRIP THE CRAP OUT OF YOUR TRAILERS THERE GHETTO AS CRAP i had 4 rear tires illegal tread depth and one was lumpy i refused to move it they told me i was to bring it to a shop i told them to fudge off and tow it they complained it was to expensive but they eventually did after i told them i thought you cared about safety the kicker is if you blow a tire thats a preventable accident to them on your schneider record.expect to not shower alot i remember going 5 days without access to a truck stop to shower..expect to earn 20k in 6 months so about 40k your first year or so expect 2-4 cent raises..safety bonuses and performance bonuses are hard to reach you gotta fuel where they tell you or you lose your bonus. you gotta follow there qualcomm routes or you loss performance and they talk to you etc. the bonuses wre between 80-150.. speed is monitored like there cops expect to not go faster than 61 qualcomm beeps at you and reports speed to schneider and i you get 6% over speed allowance ..if you turn to quick or sharp truck reports you and you get in trouble.. idle restriction are very strict it was 104 in kansas and i got in trouble for idling the truck over night keep in mind the truck only lowers the temp by 20 degrees of the outside temp so it was 80 degrees.. make sure you wear your back brace they give you it helped me alot from relieving the pain.. you need to buy socks for sweaty feet to obsorb your sweat or i garantee youle get athlets foot i almost had to take time off it got so bad your shoes will stink make sure you have foot powder or spray the 10 hours off duty you will never getr the full 10 expect 8 to 8.5 hoursa of sleep..

pro's you get to meet tons of random people at truck stops and stores.
    2. theres almost always fast food by the stores for a bite to eat.
the pay is great if you stick around long enough you can make 75k+ if you stick with it
    3. trainers make bank because as a trainee the trainer is paid your milage plus stops plus training time...

Yea, I don't know why anyone under goes those accounts. They reduce costs by putting 2 or 3 stores of stuff into the trailers that take hours to unload with full knowledge that the driver will run out of HOS hours. Forcing the driver to sleep behind the stores with probably little to no access to facilities. Those dollar stores screw everybody for profit, I bet.

    Don't Shop at Dollar Stores!
Don't shop at places that cause shippers to treat their drivers bad!

    Save a trucker!
