Guys please keep idling to a minimum, swift stock is the lowest it's been in 3 years. We need to cut some low hanging fruit and one of those things is driver comfort. I would like to see the stock above $20 again after the first quarter earnings report, and one of the ways we can achieve that is if everyone (mainly drivers) makes sacrifices. Thank you for your understanding.

Why does it always end with the drivers? Are the people behind the glass cutting anything out? What sacrifices are they making for the company? With fuel prices at all time lows, as of late, they need to show some #### compassion for the drivers.

It's not the drivers fault that the economy fell off a cliff, but they want the drivers to bear the brunt and sacrifice.

The company I used to work for ran a qualcomm. If I logged out and logged back in after idling all night I wouldn't show I did. Not sure if it would work with swift.

That's why we need drivers to sacrifice. We need good earnings reports!

Here is a helpful hint for Swift drivers this summer. Did you know your body actually has a built-in cooling mechanism? That's right, just be sure to drink plenty of water and your body will automatically release a cooling agent on your skin. No idling required!

Why doesn't Swift purchase the trucks that have the opti idle APU system? It's basically just 4 more batteries and the truck auto starts when they get low? My Prostar runs heat or a/c all night and usually just starts once in the morning to recharge the batteries. I would have to imagine that system is way cheaper than a diesel powered APU

Buddy the prices were just the excuse, now they will look for a new one. It's Swift for crying out loud it's not like they are the beacon of light for drivers. Work for a bottom feeder get treated as such, people need to quit being surprised by this.

Swift is the Platinum Standard truck company for the entire industry come on @Fajo . They have premier trucking schools that are the envy of every other truck company and some of the worlds best in class award winning drivers.

It's all about your DM getting good numbers so that he can get some sort of bonus while you are miserable in that truck. Freight is dead right now, I cannot wait for the conference call in a few weeks to explain it all to the investors. More fleet downsizing? Swift is too big to be effectively managed. Each terminal is like its own kingdom with its own peculiarities and such. Bottom line is that if the drivers aren't happy and feel like they are valued, the company isn't going anywhere. Go look at the financials and see how wealthy Jerry Moyes really is. If they really cared they would have APU's. Also, they are not the worst paying company out there anymore either. It all boils down to how your DM treats you, which is a subject within itself. My DM had issues with me and pretty dished out #### until I parked the truck and quit. If this is what trucking is, you can have it. Soon enough they will have all the dirty immigrants driving, so it doesn't really matter anyway. The whole system would rather have cheap and maleable drivers and not people who think for themselves and question things.
