    French camp is now just a lot with nothing in the way of driver amenities. Have you considered adding another Porta potty? One dirty plastic box really doesn't handle the needs of 25+ tractors like there were this weekend.
    Might be why someone had to drop a duce behind a trailer; or maybe it was an editorial comment on how the west is getting the shaft while Dallas gets a "massive" improvement. I am not the guilty party nor will I confirm or deny knowledge of who is indeed responsible for "da duce".
    Another question, why does corporate continue to push the IC program at a time when company drivers in the west sit waiting for loads?
    No freight? Yet the choice board has loads. This situation is akin to a restaurant parking their food truck in front and selling from both. The wait staff watches land office business going on at the food truck while the restaurant manager says "going to cut back on your hours due to lack of customers ".
    But somehow the company that owns both keeps making a huge profit. I guess this is how Chris can afford that Rolex he is always flashing in his folded arm poses that adorn the Extra Mile.
    Why is it that with every passing day I get the increasing impression that Schneider is actually operated by the Ringling Brothers Clown College?

    Just some random musings as I sit and my 14 goes tic-toc, tic-toc.

    Can hardly wait for your second question considering the illogical inference of your first question .
    I'd expect any and all drivers to exercise every opportunity afforded to them, though I do wonder why a business would have competitive divisions within their operation.
    Actually, the reason why is obvious but that doesn't say much for corporate concerns regarding company drivers abilities to earn consistently.

    Don't know how freight is for ic's out west, but I do know last time I was at Fontana there was probably 20-25 ic's sitting at the oc twiddling their thumbs. Lately I have seen quite a few ic's heading towards CA on I40 in AZ and NM though. Wonder how many peanuts they are running that lane for

    There are some loads going to CA out of AZ that pay in the 1.20 to 1.40 range. Not very many but if you're there that beats the sub .80 going back east.

    Lots of freight going to AZ and further west is the only direction that pays anything except Denver and that's a horrible market.

    Frankly... If you don't like it..then leave..you complaining about them putting loads on the choice board instead of your truck...well,there's plenty of loads to go around.. If your not running,it maybe your problem.

    Chris is a just about a full time lobbyist in Washington, which is smart really considering how much regulation is choking our potential, but I digress.

    I never ran Schneider van, but I did do 3 years tanker. Upon leaving Schneider I now understand the key difference between Schneider and Trimac and that is a dedicated dispatcher who is rated based on driver efficiency. Having a dispatcher makes my miles and productivity go up by leaps.

    Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way, it works so much better. To be fair though it takes a long time to be a good dispatcher, and Schneider would have to train a lot of people. Basically every DBL would have to be a load planner too, quite a challenge when you are as big as the Pumpkin.

    I think he was just questioning the fact there's loads on the board for ICs regardless of rate but less loads for the same company's drivers. Just to put my 2 cents in though, not all company drivers have been sitting much wasting their clock this winter. Some have seen little to no effect to this winter.

    Well there's times we have loads "cancel" but we find out they weren't canceled but given to a company truck..so it's both ways..
