How was lunch? You all having fun yet.

 

Truck got a clean bill of health first time thru. Ordered decals. 2290 in process. Needed one more piece of info that was in the hotel room, not on our person. Enjoying the local restaurants as much as we can. (Avoiding the chain types)

 

There are some great little restaurants around there. I can't remember the name but one little deli is only open a few hours a day but has great food. I've only been to Louisville twice (orientation and 1year review) beside just driving through. But I made it a point to stop in that shop.

 

Day two: another cold day
Class start at 8 it's about 20 of is going real smooth hope to be out of here wed or thur morning...to everyone who needs to go to the irs you have to make an appointment no walk ins.....make sure to take id have to check in with security it's on the 6 floor turn left they on the left side at end of hall....don't know where u get the twic card I came in with nine...Mercer making you get one before you can leave...

 

Which deli do you like? I will be in orientation Monday the 25th. Excited to walk around downtown Louisville and see some sights. Never really stopped there before, just passed thru. Bringing my pooch, I wonder if she will be allowed in any hotels or if I need to leave her in the truck. Either way no big...

 

Most of the hotels are just across the river in IN. About a 5 min drive. I believe the Clarion allowed pets but I won't promise.

The deli is about a block past the bat factory and half a block up on the left. Small cozy place. Gets a bit of a lunch rush I I usually do a late 1-2pm lunch. I really can't remember the name.

 

It's best to do your TWIC before coming to orientation. Mercer only needs to see the receipt.

 

Might be easiest just to stay in the truck then.. I will find the deli from the directions you gave. Was planning to see the bat factory so I will make an afternoon of it. Thanks good sir. Looks like it's called Another Place Sandwich Shop, sure enough only open from 11am to 3pm. Will try it out
