Hey all so any advice is greatly appreciated. I've been driving flatbed in the military for over 3 years now and currently drive OTR going on 5 months. Problem is I can't stand my company or dispatcher. I'm looking for something regional/dedicated but with the possibility to go OTR every once in awhile would be nice as well. I'm open to flatbed and tanker. I'd preferably like to make $1000 a week and if the company has a pet policy that would be awesome too. Oh and I'm from Ohio don't know if that helps any? Any info on companies I could start checking out would be awesome!

Try system transport. They have regional, long haul and occasionally they'll offer a local gig in Ohio. They'll fly you out for orientation. No sharing a hotel room either.

If you are in Northwest Ohio, check out Schwerman (tank) out of Toledo. They are very serious about veteran preference and waive the minimum exp. level for vets. Best of luck.

Some companies do not accept military driving as experience. If you can show you were out on the road and not just on the base it might help. Just be prepared if they tell you that.
