I use the Eclipse logbook. It's just like a paper log. And at the bottom where the vehicle condition report is there's a spot for the states and mileage that we ran in each state. Mine gets submitted with each days log.

 

I reset my tripmeter at the stateline and write it on the windshield with a dry erase marker. At the end of the day I fill out the form then scan them all in at the end of the month with the maintenance report.

 

It has to do with some states trying to deem contractors employees, think the option is given to run their tag and they pay IFTA, or run your tag and and you pay IFTA. The tracking with the app is no big deal to me, you are tracked in the course of a day by just about anything you do anyway

Yup. Have a cell phone? Then there's a record of where you were and when. Lawyers love them in big truck wreck incidents, easiest way to prove falsification of logs.

 

Supposed to sign the contract here in LKY tomorrow morning also. IFTA is apparently becoming an issue and the previously mentioned item of states wanting taxes taken out of our pay unless it is very clear that we meet all standards for independent contractor status. I"ll know more tomorrow.

Is anyone having any issues with the JJ Keller app for ELD?
I'm trying to check my hours for tomorrow an it keeps giving me an error message "user not authenticated"
