All the trees would grow at an angle. Ever been to Aruba? Very windy there, trees that do make it are crazy looking.

 

That stinks. Maybe a bright engineering student will come along someday with a grant and some great ideas to mitigate all the stupid gusting.

 

They tried that, planted rows of bushes and trees.... they all died in the winter from lack of moisture, and wind burn.

 

Wyoming just sucks. Winter, summer, anytime, sucks.
Few weeks ago I stayed in Ft. Bridger, it 5 with WC was -10.
That morning at the Utah line it was -9.
The highways are as miserable as there is in the winter, 25 is just as bad, and it seems like they just can't keep em clean.
They get WTF snow, and ice in Montana, even more, but Montana does an excellent job with the roads.

 

Come on Dave!!! Wyoming is full anyway...

 

Bah. It's ruined more than a few trips even in the summer with that frigging wind. And God forbid you have a mechanical issue out in the middle.

 

Probably would explain the lack of population here?!
